Colossians 1 v 27 To them God has chosen to make known.. the glorious riches of this mystery, which is christ in you, the hope of glory.
If we are called to live a pure holy life why do I always seem to fail?
Can you live a life that pleases God?
Can you set yourself rules and boundaries and stick to them?
If your anything like me then the answers no.
The foundation of our hope in life is the fact that Jesus died and was raised to life and now lives in all who accept him.... the glorius riches of this mystery.
With christ in us we have complete access to God and the fullness of an everyday relationship with him. READ colossians 2 v 9 - 3 v 17
The relationship with God and life with Jesus gives us a focus beyond this world and access to power and authority over everything in this world.
God ultimately knows the best thing in all situations and can help us through everything, as it says in colossians, set your heart and your mind on things above, where christ is seated at the right hand of God.
By having a life focused on heavenly things, it is hard to Sin. In Col ch2 v 23 it says that rules cannot restrain sensual indulgence, but a life lived constantly focused on God and walking with Jesus overcomes sin.
Its not that we keep breaking the rules that displeases God. Its that we want to live by the rules still, and not in relationship with God and the overcoming power of Christ in you the Hope and Glory.

God Space
Life is so crazily hectic and to be honest I've given up blaiming the days we live in. I think people have been real busy ever since adam an eve left the garden. We have so many things that make life easier and things quicker, but we just fill our time with other things.
This crazily hectic life so often prevents us having time just talking and listening to God. Even if I shut myself in my room the phone will ring or there be some distracting activity.
I reckon Jesus had the same problem, often you stop but crazily hectic life around you distracts you. I reckon thats why he always seemed to go up hills or into gardens to have some time alone with God. I tried doing this and its awesome! Try just going to a field or something away from everything and take some time alone with God, just to chat and listen with no distractions.
Be blessed :)
